Following a very successful 2004 the Junior Section is looking to move forward.  We intend to run four teams in 2005 at Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17.

Junior Cricket at Old Wulfrunians Tettenhall is not just about games though, there is the opportunity for complete beginners, of whatever age, to learn and hone their skills.

Pre season cricket nets for the Juniors begin at 9.00a.m. on Sunday 9th January at Wolverhampton Grammar School and several ECB qualified coaches will be on hand to teach and coach children of all ages.  All newcomers are welcome, just turn up and introduce yourself.  All kit is provided, all you need is a pair of training shoes.  Each net session costs a pound - good value for an hours coaching.  Outdoor practices begin in May at the Castlecroft ground.  A membership fee of ten pounds to join the Club is payable before the start of the season.

We are constantly on the lookout for new players from the age of seven upwards but all age groups would benefit from new players and if numbers demand it then extra teams can be formed.

We play in the Staffordshire Youth League and matches for the Under 11's and Under 13's are usually played on Sunday mornings with the older age groups playing in mid week.  A new development this season will be to ease the older members of the Junior Section into senior cricket by giving them the opportunity to play senior games on a Sunday afternoon.  Each junior will have an individual development plan which should ensure that progression continues.

We are also aiming to enter an Under 9 Kwik Cricket team in a newly created league as part of the Staffs Youth League development.
